Increase Security With Mobile Document Shredding

Creating a document shredding plan has become part of doing business ever since new laws have been passed by the government.  Document shredding is in line with keeping private/personal information of businesses secure and possibly preventing identity theft.  This article will tackle the advantages of employing a mobile shredding service for any business instead of taking on the task themselves.

Take into consideration the ease of use.  Secure locking containers and bins are provided for by these mobile shredding companies so that paper waste and other sensitive documents can be easily dropped in the locked container without worrying about removing the staples or paper clips.  Large folders and envelopes are easily destroyed in a matter of seconds.

Mobile document shredding is cost efficient.  The on-site shredding trucks can shred documents at a much faster pace and can accommodate a huge bulk of paper and document wastes at one time compared to any in-house shredding machine.  Outsourcing the service is more cost effective than having a dedicated employee do the shredding or worse having highly paid employees spend pay roll hours shredding paper wastes.  These employees have more important things to do with their time.

Mobile document shredding companies are mandated to provide monitoring for the documents for destruction.  Most of these paper shredding services have observation screens where customers can observe as their documents are being destroyed should the representative opt not to be on-site as the shredding happens.  A Certificate of Destruction is also issued by the paper shredding company as proof that the shredding service was successfully completed.  Hiring an on-site shredding service facility ensures that company documents are not lost during transport increasing the risk of legal exposure.

Document shredding is an ethical business practice.  It is the responsibility of any business to make sure that customer files and data are securely kept or disposed of.  It would certainly be quite damaging for a business to have their customer database exposed just because it failed to take the necessary precautions for proper waste disposal.

Employing a professional mobile document shredding service guarantees that shredding laws are complied with and that the whole process of document destruction and shredding is backed up by years of experience and know how.

Also, by hiring a mobile document shredding company the business is assured that the shredded documents are baled and passed on to recycling companies.  These are then made into new paper products such as paper towels, stationery, gift packaging and other creative paper products.  In return, the business not only keeps their documents secure but is also able to contribute to helping the environment by reducing the amount of waste in the environment.

On-site shredding is better than off-site document destruction because it is more secure.  During on-site document shredding, a company representative can observe the actual document destruction first hand before it leaves the company premises.  This eliminates all the other risk factors of having the documents exposed when it leaves the office property in its whole form.

Realistically, many businesses have trade secrets lost due to improper data handling.  By hiring a mobile document shredding service, businesses are able to keep their competitive advantage by maintaining their important data secure and identity theft free.  Many corporate dumpster divers have resulted to millions in company losses.  As a preventive measure, these mobile shredding services ensures that no shredded document can ever be pieced together at the risk of being exposed to competitors.

Become more efficient by planning out a shredding schedule for your business and encouraging employees to participate in organizing those paper wastes.  This practice saves on office storage space and frees it up to provide space for more important use or equipment.

And lastly, knowing that the documents are destroyed and disposed of properly, will leave any business owner with peace of mind.

For any mobile documentation shredding needs there is always the Document Shredding Directory online.  It can provide a list of references for business needs.  Proshred is a mobile shredding company that provides on-site document shredding and recycling services.  Shred Nations is also another shredding company to addresss document destruction needs.

I highly recommend mobile shredding for any business, big or small. Too many businesses are still letting important documents with confidential information just go to the dumpster without any concerns.
